Jennifer Hancock is co-founder of Breckenridge Counseling Center (BCC).  She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) degree in 1996 and Master of Arts in Social Work (MSW) degree in 1998. 

 

Jennifer began clinical practice in 1996 working with individuals recovering from addiction and later spent many years serving those affected by domestic and sexual violence. Throughout her career, she has also worked with individuals with a range of mental health issues and their families in a variety of treatment settings. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2001 and opened BCC in 2002. 

 

Jennifer sees children as well as adolescents and adults. While she holds a certification in treating individuals and families with a history of trauma, she works with a wide range of individuals and families with diverse backgrounds and issues. Her practice approach is motivational and strengths based as she focuses on assisting individuals and families in accessing and developing their own solutions. She relies on the latest evidence based practices to guide her interventions. 

 

Jennifer is an in-network provider for most major insurance companies. She also offers a private pay rate for individuals who do not have insurance or do not wish to use insurance.
