Stephen Klump is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) and Supervisor. He has training and certification related to the treatment of Trauma and Juvenile Sexual Offending but also provides a wide range of services to children, adolescents and adults to address a variety of issues including Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, ADHD, Impulse Control, Family Conflict, Life Transitions and Sexual Acting Out Behaviors among others.

My Story

Beginning his career in 2008, Stephen has worked in various parts of the mental health system including a crisis center, outpatient trauma therapy, residential treatment and foster care. Stephen is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2007 before completing his Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Louisville in 2011. Stephen became fully licensed to practice independently in 2014 when he became a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
Stephen’s approach to therapy works to incorporate motivational and strengths-based ideas into evidenced based practices. Stephen is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), completed the Juvenile Sexual Offense Counselor Certification Program (JSOCCP) and has been trained in Alternatives for Families Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). He helps people to find solutions within and practice new skills to overcome their difficulties Stephen believes in working collaboratively with families to identify their needs and make a plan to help them reach their goals.
